There are those days you feel that life will never be the same, those days you feel like you can’t go on, let me say there is encouragement today.
Your First Task
Stop close your eyes breathe in through your nose and gently and slowly expel through your mouth the air from your lungs, do this at least three times more if you need. Now slowly open your eyes and see that it’s true ever day is a new start.
Do You Remember This Movie?
Do you remember the movie Groundhog Day with Bill Murray? I love Bill Murry but I have to admit, that movie exasperated me after the second time he started that day over! How about it you? I didn’t even realize until I started brainstorming on and article to write this morning, that I just may have learned a very important lesson from Bill Murray!
Questioning the Author’s Sanity
I was looking up quotes of encouragement for today considering the world events as of late, I saw the quote up there and boom, there it was right in my face! If you don’t understand the way my brain works not to worry no one else does either, not even me!
The Groundhog Day Connection Explained
Suddenly, I found myself sitting here looking at quote, then it hits me what that movie was all about. You know regardless of how bad our day is today, no matter how bad we mess it up, there is a new day tomorrow.
Just like Bill Murray in the movie, we get the chance to do it over, make it better, change things, we get a free “DO OVER” every single day we breathe! Is that not an awesome thought?
Yes, right now many of us are seeing gloom and dome, but tomorrow is another day, a new day. You need to use your new day to change things and readjust your mindset. Right now we are in the beginning of the movie Groundhog Day.
With every new day we have the ability to rework our thoughts, lives, attitudes and things will get better by the times the credits roll on this pandemic just like in the movie. It might be exasperating now but as we move forward there will be positive changes.
We are all learning at this point, that things can change and change fast. We know now we can do things we thought we could not do because we are doing them. The world will get through this. Our government is learning as well, (at least we hope). The best offense is a good defense!
We are all in this movie together, some on the big screen like our first responders, the public sits in the audience just waiting to see what happens next.
Our leaders are the producers and directors and, much of how this movie turns out has to do with their judgments. What doesn’t have to do with our government is tomorrow. Tomorrow is a God given brand new day.
